THE EXPOSITION

The exhibition “#connecting cultures” is an art exhibition inspired by the motto of the event SEIMUN (one of the biggest Model United Nations in Spain) which will take place in Granada, Spain.

This art exhibition, brings together artists from different parts of the World. Each of them deliver an art pieze under the topic of this event “connecting cultures” and connect it with the art pieze of the representative of Spain as a sample of the relations of Spain with the different countries.

This art piezes will be hosted in different parts of Andalucía in order to raise funds and awareness to the refugees Beginning from the openning ceremony of SEIMUN (from UNSA Andalucía) in Granada.

Later on, this exhibition will be hosted at the European Parliament and at the Press Club in Brussels.

The main goal of the exhibition is  to raise funds and awareness for  refugees.

South European International Model of United Nations (SEIMUN). Is a United Nations simulation, an international encounter of students from countries the world over, who decide to spend a few days representing a given State at a council of importance in International Relations, assuming the roles of diplomats, ambassadors and the heads of states.

SEIMUN has special conditions for being a Model United Nations;is a regional  integrating project youth-run, a meeting point between youngsters, insitutions and private entities, it promotes a civic transformation of our society contributing participants, critical thinking and tolerance, and the unique rotating UN simulation in Europe and the onlu one in Spain simulating UN, EU and the International Court of Justice.

The exhibition will begin its tour at the Opening Ceremony of SEIMUN (South European International Model of United Nations) in Granda, organized by UNSA Andalucía, part of the UNSA Spain Network.

This exhibition will be hosted in Granada and Sevilla raising funds and awareness for refugees.

The next steeps of the exhibition will be the European Parlialment and the Press Club in Brussles.

Other International Institutions and events are being valorate in these moments for hosting the exhibition.

Taking action for refugees

As a part of the Social Responsabily that UNSA Andalucia and SEIMUN has with the society, has been enabled a donation campaign which will be open during the time the exposition is showed in different places. All the money received will be donate to the Spanish Commission for Helping Refugees (CEAR)




THE ARTISTS

A group of international artists (each one from a different country) deliver the art work of this exhibition, giving a different backgound about the topic “connecting cultures”.
Each of them deliver an art piece related with this topic (“connecting cultures”) and mixing it with the art work of the spanish artist as a representation of the connection of the Spanish culture with the other countries.
